New School building for Arandu, Pakistan – 2020/21

About the project

While passing twice the village Arandu in a remote valley 120km away from Skardu, we realized, that most of the children had no chance to visit a school. The village has 700 children and only about 150 of them can visit a school. There are not enough school rooms and teachers. One of our porters was at the same time the teacher of this village who has started to hold school lessons in his private living room. Up to 80 children were attending his lessons.

Our goal was then to finance two more school rooms so another 50 children could attend a school. At the same time we are financing the salaries for two additional teachers for the next 5 years.

The new school rooms are in use since spring 2021 – and Arandu is sending us messages to say thank you every few weeks.
