A good communication and understanding of the language can save lifes during expeditions. Based on missunderstandings between Sherpas and tourists or expediton teams, there have been missinterpretations which caused\u00a0accidents.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Swiss Sherpa Foundation\u00a0supports Sherpas and porters in Tansania in their education with payed English lessons.<\/p>\n
